In fall 2001 Two in One has been invited by Ixkizit Cie Joel Borges with their new project free fall as artists-in-residency at Mains d`Oeuvres for a working period and presentation in Paris and Lissabon. Free fall deals with the research and transformation of the movement language of the new extreme sport forms in a innovative contemporary dance form with elements of present dance language from partnerwork, (Contact)Improvisation and Floorwork at new sites.
social aspect
In the last years a whole generation has grown up which is interested in extreme sport forms  such as aggressive inline-skating, skateboarding, bmx riding  and also footbagging  to express highly developed physicality. We would like to reach and create audience by creating new exciting performance spaces using extreme sport sites such as half pipes f.i. to link new innovative contemporary art forms to any form of social grouping.

artistic aspect
Extreme sport forms such as aggressive inline-skating, skateboarding, bmx and also footbagging offer a wide range of physical possibility which we like to research in with & without the sports` equipment.
On local extreme sport sites as well as in the studio we research on the movement languages as well as their physical roots for mistakes (such as falling, hitting, sliding..) and the transformation into a contemporary dance language. Adding partner work, contact dance, improvisation, intensive floor work and contemporary theatre and capoeira elements, the free fall and the play with gravity is a main focus in the working process with extreme sport expert, break-dancer and contemporary dancers.
During the process work of detail and movement analysis happened in the studio in a so called "safe environment" to study physical and compositional components, whereas the created dance material in the studio taken out onto extreme sport sites just the same.  Small performance try outs start right on the spot.

future aspect
Further on will the possibility of an independent outdoor performance be of great importance to perform innovative art at new sites (the first we had in Vienna this year January at SkateLab). We are interested in meeting  a wide range of artists. One focus on artistic exchange lies on performers that are already connected to extreme sport forms and/or further on to the break dance, hip hop scene or parkour and even contemporary circus. We are interested in building up strong dynamic partner work with theatrical and improvisational elements. We would like to exchange ideas with local visual artists and stage designers how to create a new exciting performance landscape  which can be used to jump, slide and roll on with the whole body surface.  Live music and the performers steps creating the rhythm for the performance. Visual and set design we will build in a performance space in Vienna to turn the performance into a off - Broadway show .
