Company Two in One
was founded in 1996 by Michaela Hargitay (A) and Akos Hargitay (H) as a Austro-Hungarian artists collective. The Company is looking in creative collaboration for intensive dialogue and artistic exchange with other performers, choreographers, visual artists and musicians. The focus on the working process with its resulting structures and movement forms is one of the main objects.

After 6 years of permanent residency in Budapest/Hungary, in 2006 September they return to Vienna/Austria to liv and work and began a new life as Mimi Hargitay & Akos Hargitay.
Experiencing so many years of the “pure & poor freelance contemporary dance artist life” their work became more sarcastic & critical mirroring the society, the current cultural politics, including the dance -presenters, -writers, -creators, curators and of course themselves.
Since 2001 they also became interested in the youth urban culture & street art, researching the crossover with contemporary dance.

Their work was presented at various festivals, venues and theaters such as Aerowoaves/The Place Theater London, Dance Theater Workshop Judson Church New York, Mains d’Œuvres Paris, Susan Hess Studio Philadelphia, Unidram Festival Potsdam/Germany, Tanzfabrik Berlin / Germany, Warsaw, Krakow / Poland, Bratislava / Slovakia, Latvia, Finnland a.o.
In Austria TQ Wien, Imagetanz dieTheater Wien, Tanzsprache Wien and Neuer Tanz Wien/WUK,
Posthof and CCL / Linz, TANZzone1 Innsbruck, Tanz*Hotel Mini Festival/Nestroyhof Wien.
Their full-length evening production Free Fall was premiered 2003 in cooperation with Tanz Quartier Wien (TQW) and Szene Bunte Wähne Festival at SkateLab Vienna. 2008. Szene Bunte Wähne Festival at Dschungel Wien

They are funding members of L1 danceLab. Since 2002 they are teaching staff at Bruckner Conservatory (now Anton Bruckner Private University Linz), and taught workshops at TQW, SEAD Salzburg, CalArts LA, Workshop Foundation Budapest, L1 danceLab a.o. Together they have established the first weekly contact jams in Budapest in 2000 which are now organized every Thursday at Trafo by www.kontaktbudapest.hu.
Currently they are teaching staff at Move On Dance Studio/Vienna, CONdance (Contemporary Dance Education program).
